Melt finger apparatus

The drawing ability of polymer melt is a key parameter in many processes of plastic production and processing.

The program has proved to be a very sensitive measurement principle, which can provide repeatable results, even the smallest batch fluctuation can be displayed.

Tandem traction wheel

A second pair of rollers has been integrated to also elongate the high viscosity polymer melt. The task of the second pair of reels is to pull the wire away after passing through the first pair of reels.

Extended speed range

Compared with its predecessor, the speed range is expanded by 60%, among which the maximum acceleration can now be 3200mm/s.

Measuring range the measuring range of the force is from 0 to 2 n with a resolution of 0.001 n. Calibration is performed automatically

• melt index and melt elasticity can be measured only once

• speed range 0 - 44.8 m/min (d-melt, pull - off)

• graphical display of force and speed curve during measurement, simple recording of speed and time, predefined measurement principle, and automatic measurement program

• precise and high-resolution force sensors for operation and data recording via a separate PC software console
